It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth (Betty) Joyce Baggaley (nee Gabel), December 9, 2025, at the age of 85.
The second youngest of six children, Betty was born in Glenella, Manitoba on July 26, 1940. She married Cecil Baggaley in 1961 and settled in Winnipeg to begin their new life together. She worked as a CGA at various companies, the last being New Flyer Industries. She will be fondly remembered for her love of animals with many pets (and grand pets) over the years. She was a very easygoing person, non-judgmental and kind. Betty had a wonderful sense of humor that will be dearly missed.
Betty is survived by her children, Kerry (Evelyne), David (Liz) and Jason, and her brothers, Ted and Kelly Gabel. She was predeceased by her husband Cecil, her Mother and Father Lydia and John Gabel, her siblings, Dwight, Garry, and Evelyn.
A casual Celebration of Life will take place on January 17, 2026, at 1165 Roch Street from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. A private family interment will take place at a later date.
